Christmas 2009

This is a picture of all the grand kids (minus Jesse) in their pajamas. It is a Lee family tradition! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for these cute pj's this year!!
For the 2nd time Isaiah wanted nothing to do with Santa Claus. He was trying very hard to get away from his Daddy. The funny part is that just before we left Ted asked if he was going to be in the pictures and I told him no... OOPS!!!! The only child that would sit on Santa's lap was our FD that is 13 months old.... Oh well, maybe next year!

Isaiah was soo tired Christmas eve that he didn't want to open his own gifts. So daddy was helping him with this one....

What the HECK???

So last night about 1:00AM (YES 1:00 AM) I was listening to Isaiah cry in his room. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was going on. After listening to him for about 15 minutes I ventured into his room to find my adorable little son completely naked in his bed. Not only was he naked but he was shivering and had wet the bed because of course the diaper was off. So I got him out of bed, cleaned him up, put his pj's back on, and then changed the sheets in his bed. I sat and rocked him for a few minutes talking to him about why this wasn't a good idea and then put him back to bed. HE didn't want to do this. So again he started to cry. I decided to turn down our monitor because I really need to get a little sleep. So ....... now on to figure out how to keep a toddler in his pj's ????

HE DID IT!!!

Ted and I put Isaiah down last night for bed and he was in there making all sorts of noises. We assumed that he was just kicking his feet on his crib and just let him stay in there. Ted was called in to work last night and before he left we heard this HUGE noise. Needless to say Ted and I walked in his room and Isaiah was out of his crib. Not only did he climb out of his crib but he got into the vasaline and had spread it all over his face and pj's. Then he got into the pull ups and spread them all over the floor.

Ted and I had a really hard time not laughing at Isaiah.. in fact I think that we did have a few moments of giggling behind our hands looking at each other.

So at 10:15 last night we... let me say I was in there cleaning up the mess( Ted lucky duck left to go to work with a "HAVE FUN"). I had to put him back in bed 3-4 times. So know we are left to figure out how to change his crib to a toddler bed, so he won't hurt himself!

OH THE LIFE OF A MOM!!!! And I wouldn't change it for the world!

Foster Care

To this date we have had 6 foster children in our home for the last 1 1/2 years . The childen have ranged from 12 to 8 weeks old. People say all the time that we are wonderful for doing what we are doing. Sometimes, Ted and I say thank you... but most of the time we tell them that we are not doing foster care to be "wonderful". We are doing foster care to help out the families in our area. We are doing foster care to make a difference in a small way. We are doing foster care to be the one constant in a child's life that is full of inconsistancies. We are doing foster care to help Isaiah learn to share and love (as much as a 2 year old can understand). If and only if a parent is unable to work their case plan and get their child home, Ted and I have said that we would love to adopt those children.

Yes, foster care is not for the faint of heart. We put our hearts on the line many times and hope and pray that the children that are not in our home are doing okay.. it is fun to see the parents and children succeed together... but we constantly wonder how they are doing..

Today, Ted and I have 2 foster children in our home( 2 little one year olds) . We love them and rejoice when they grow and succeed... in the last twoweeks they both have started to eat solid foods (table), both have new teeth coming in, and both are now WALKING!!!! We don't know what the future will hold for these two little ones, we can only help them with the here and now!

Adoption

People have asked would you adopt again. The answer to that question is YES!!!! If we are ever asked to adopt a child we would first say.. can we get back to you... then pray and ask if this child is to be in our family... then we would say yes or no!
Adoption to say the least, is like being pregnant for a long time..... for example we were "paper pregnant" while waiting to be chosen to adopt for almost 2 long years. We love our birth mom. We love that fact that she chose for Isaiah to be adopted instead of the other choices that she had while pregnant. We never have met her ( due to her choice that the adoption be closed) but we love her just the same.

Port-A-Cribs

Isaiah has finally mastered the art of getting out of his port a crib. We went to Payette for Thanksgiving and he was "sleeping" in his crib... well wouldn't you know it when Ted went in to check the babies there was Isaiah running from crib to crib and the other two kids were laughing at him. I offically have a climber. Hopefully, he won't try to scale is "crib" at home... UGH!!!

ISAIAH

I did it!!! I finally joined the blogging family! After reading friends and family blogs for months I decided to try it out myself... Let me start this by introducing our 2 year old spit fire.. THIS is Isaiah. He turned 2 in September and needless to say we had a Lightning party. I tried my hand at decorating a birthday cake and I think it turned out okay....

Isaiah wasn't sure if he wanted to bite the cake!!!! But he attempted to do this...

Isaiah is our pride and joy. We waited for so long to be able to adopt him that finger prints, toy messes, laundry, and dishes are things that we have waited to have. Just last week I finally cleaned my front door and wouldn't you know there was finger prints on it. Don't even ask about my sliding glass door to the back yard! Isaiah is ALLLLLLLLLLL Boy!
